She was mentored by Master Raul Gamboa —a contemporary of Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and Rufino Tamayo— who taught her the foundations of drawing and the secrets of painting. His words still guide her creative process: "Who does not know how to draw, does not know how to paint."
Since 1995, she has devoted herself full-time to art, exploring new visual languages. Her main influences are Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington, and Leonardo da Vinci, whom she recognizes as the multifaceted genius of art.
