She was mentored by Master Raul Gamboa, a contemporary of Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and Rufino Tamayo, who taught her the foundations of drawing and the secrets of painting. His words still guide her creative process: "Who does not know how to draw, does not know how to paint."

Since 1995, she has devoted herself full-time to art, exploring new visual languages. Her main influences are Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington, and Leonardo da Vinci, whom she recognizes as the multifaceted genius of art.
